Pulling dents out of a car is easy with the right paintless dent removal tools. PDR tools and accessories for auto dent pulling include slide hammers, mini lifters, PDR Glue and PDR Tabs.
Often, when access is limited to the backside of the panel, such as on roof rails, a little glue tab (a plastic knob) is attached to the dent and then pulled off quickly, raising the dented area in the process. This is known as glue pulling dents. The hot melt PDR glue is then removed using 91% or higher rubbing alcohol.
The other popular method of pulling dents from automobiles is with the use of special attachments (such as the famous EdgyTools Hookers™) and a slide hammer. The special attachments hook behind the damaged area and are the dents are banged out using care to not harm the painted surfaces. This process is most commonly used on bent over car door edges.
